In a groundbreaking development for India’s civil services, IRS officer M Anusuya has redefined gender inclusivity by undergoing a gender transition and will now be officially recognized as male. This historic move marks a significant milestone in the recognition of gender identity within the bureaucratic framework.
Officer M Anusuya, a dedicated Joint Commissioner at Hyderabad’s Customs, Excise, and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), will henceforth be known as Mr. M Anukathir Surya.
