Tragedy Strikes Madhya Pradesh: Family of 5 Found Dead in Suspected Suicide Case
Grim Echoes of the Burari Incident Reverberate in Ravdi Village
Madhya Pradesh : In a heart-wrenching incident reminiscent of the infamous Burari case, a family of five has been discovered dead in their home in Ravdi village, Alirajpur district, Madhya Pradesh. The victims include Rakesh Dodwa (27), Lalita Dodwa (25), and their children Prakash (7), Akshay (5), and Laxmi (9). Their bodies were found early Monday morning, with the parents and two sons hanging from the ceiling and their daughter Laxmi lying lifeless on the floor.
Authorities suspect suicide as the cause, although no suicide note was found at the scene. Initial reports suggested all five were found hanging, but subsequent details clarified Laxmi’s position. The tragic discovery was made around 9:20 AM, prompting an immediate investigation led by the Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) of Alirajpur.
Rakesh Dodwa, identified as a farmer and occasional mason in Gujarat, had roots in Ravdi village. The police investigation includes forensic analysis and post-mortem examinations, videographed for meticulous review. A team from Indore has joined to bolster the forensic efforts.
The incident draws unsettling parallels to the 2018 Burari case in Delhi, where a family’s mass suicide shocked the nation. In that tragedy, eleven family members were found hanging with notes indicating beliefs in spiritual rituals for salvation. Investigations suggested a shared delusion orchestrated by Lalit Chundawat, a family member, driven by his father’s supposed spiritual guidance.
As Madhya Pradesh grapples with this latest tragedy, authorities are committed to unraveling the circumstances behind this devastating loss of lives.
